1st ONVIF Product Shipping

In June 2009, LILIN announced support for ONVIF in their camera lines and is shipping these cameras for production use. I have also received a sample to test. A short term barrier is the lack of third party VMS systems supporting ONVIF (this should be resolved with at least one VMS provider in the next few months). This is a positive sign for ONVIF (and great press for LILIN) but market impact depends on a critical mass of third party suppliers offering ONVIF so that end-to-end ONVIF solutions can be deployed.
[Update 2012: Over 2000 products now support ONVIF. ONVIF support is the rule for new products.]
