Zone Or Pixel Based WDR?
I had a customer ask me if the WDR in the cameras we were presenting was zone or pixel based. I have never heard of this before and a Google query returned no results. Has anyone heard of zone or pixel based WDR? Is it some Sales Rep trying to come up with a way to sell their cameras?

When people talk about pixels and WDR, they are typically referring to Pixim. I have no idea what zone is referring to. Maybe they mean exposure zone? That is sometimes used to deal with lighting variations but is not WDR.
As for Pixim, the problem there is that they maxed out at SD, got acquired by Sony, and there are no new HD/MP offerings yet out. Today's MP true WDR cameras beat any SD WDR fairly handy.
