From several tests from IPVM and other test results by integrators,I have been noticing that the thermal cameras which detect the faces and scan forehead temp is giving error rates and there are so many contributing factors like outdoor temp,black body ,wind ,sunlight etc which plays a role in the results.
For crowded areas like shopping malls I agree it’s not practical to put stop and go scenario.
But In commercial towers,doesn’t it make sense to deploy multiple units of wrist temp units with face recognition, as lanes based on average expected traffic per second.
i request IPVM to do a test for the wrist temp unit like UNIVIEW OET-213H-BTS1.
I feel this can add value because this helps in deploying multiple units and generate reports based on temp of all units from a central location,this can add value to companies where they can identify and quarentine their employees.
As you had mentioned in a previous article,this may give more accurate result than forehead/thermal cameras systems .
