It's a good pragmatic idea, if it results in more frequently cleaning as a result of lowering cost and/or risk of cleaning using high ladders/lifts.
How much or how often would building owners care about mounting another device into the wall?
I think it would be a big problem for segments like high-end retail and where the architecture itself is important.
But other owners in strip-malls, industry, critical infrastructure, military, etc. where appearance is secondary to effective operation of surveillance, I expect it wouldn't be a problem at all.
