WiFi And Network Analyzers For Windows And Mac?

When taking the IPVM IP Network course a few years ago two analyzers were introduced to me, PTRG and InSSIDer.  Both were free to download.  I found InSSIDer to be easy to use, but now it seems to have been discontinued.  What are people using today?  I have a Wifi speed analyzer app on my phone but I'm looking for analytics to determine channel traffic over 2.4Ghz.

Try Acrylic.

It will even get the RSSI value from clients Probe Requests if you have certain chipsets like Broadcom. This can be used for recording the MAC addresses of clients like mobile phones even if they aren't connected to any APs.

I've always liked Xrirrus' Wi-Fi Inspector. They now have it for both Windows and Mac.

It has graphics and detailed results with filtering, and an interesting "radar" like graph that tries to show to direction of where the AP's are. The radar is not very accurate, but I'd used to before to help find AP's that were hidden in places people forgot about.

Here is an example of Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector scanning.
