Call for state of the art access controllers! Who makes or will make an access controller answering to real questions of today?
Actually, an access control local controller needs:
- Work with TCP/IP communication over an IP network and communicate in a TLS protocol.
- Operate on PoE and PoE+
- Able to communicate data over the network to the other controllers
- Able to support card validity originated by another reader or biometric reader
- Able to decide on use of the badge on other readers (anti-passback, or anti-timeback in the network and not on the central system)
- Controls power line to the door strike
- Access authorization controlled on time, date, security status, and network determined access status.
