And what are the requirements?

How about licensing for burglar alarm or electronic access control?

I can say in Texas you must acquire a license from the Department of Public Safety Private Security Board to install all 3 of those things. Requires at least 1 person who intends to manage and be in charge of the security business to take a managers exam based on the laws and statues in place by PSB. In some ways it's too general because the test also applies to private security personnel, however that's the way it is right now. I believe they also require that you've been working in the industry for at least 2 years before taking the test (you can work for companies that already have licenses and managers as installers without taking this test).
