When Do Your Techs Clock In And Out

After reviewing payroll over this past year we're realizing we have a major overtime problem. Nealy every technician is earning anywhere from 2-5 hours of OT each week due to them clocking in early and not leaving right away to get to their first work order. This results in nearly $100,000/year in payroll expense. We do not mind paying OT when a tech needs to stay on the job late or leave earlier in the morning to get started on the job site early.

When do your techs clock in? Is it when they arrive at the office, 15 min after leaving their home or when they leave the office to go to their first job?
