Cameras in places like grocery stores out front and in back areas.Are there do's and don't s.Have some employees asking about where they can and can't be. Do regulations vary from different provinces of Canada?

Aug 04, 2016My understanding is that Canada, unlike the US, e.g., actually has some real restrictions on the use of video surveillance in workplaces.
Here is a document from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, titled Guidelines for Overt Video Surveillance in the Private Sector that might help.
That might help. You might want to call them up to ask for clarification. But I know little of Canadian law so can only point to those things for further review.
