What Is A Typical IP Video Integrator/ Designer Consulting Rate In The SE US?

Jan 20, 2017#U1, Michael Silva has a book on security consulting and he has also given us input on security consulting rates. He is in the US Northwest but his numbers / experiences are fairly applicable across the US.

Most consulting firms have a multi-tiered fee structure based on the tasks being performed. Here is an example of job descriptions and the typical range of fees:
- Project Director: $200 to $350 per hour
- Project Manager: $150 to $190 per hour
- Security Consultant: $190 to $250 per hour
- Security Engineer/Designer: $95 to $150 per hour
- CAD Drafter: $65 to $85 per hour
As you say, #1, this is for people who 'know what they are doing' or at least should. Lots of people will give away 'consulting services', often of dubious quality, in exchange for buying products or services.
