I was talking with Bosch today and they said that they are going to be supporting Active Directory for their cameras in their next firmware release, scheduled for April.
Who else does this? I am curious as this seems uncommon but maybe I am just missing it.
Recall, a few years ago the Windows camera was planning to do so, but not sure if that ever went anywhere.
What would be the reason for having LDAP at the camera level, assuming you had an Active Directory VMS?
To manage access / accounts / passwords of cameras. Even for those who set passwords, I bet the most common approach is to give all cameras the same password.
