Hi there,

We have client who requires 8 streams per camera. Besides Arecont are there any other cameras who supports atleast 8 streams? Appreciate your help!

at least 8?

2 or 3 is standard

4 is less common

5 is rarer still

more than 8 might be tough

if you don’t mind me asking, what do they need so many streams for?

I’m assuming you don’t mean client connections, but rather 8 different res/frame rate/other combination.

Axis P and Q series supports 8 different streams (can be even cropped, this feature called Area View)

Do you mean 8 connections to different clients, or 8 different configurations of framerate, resolution, bitrate, codec, etc?

What framerate and resolution is needed?

it's possible that the '8-stream requirement' is a soft spec intended to get them the Arecont (or Axis) multi-imager cameras they 'want'.

I'm curious how the customer justifies this requirement.  i.e. why 8?
