Join me in welcoming Kelsey Petrone to IPVM as IPVM’s government liaison.
Kelsey graduated with a BS from the United States Naval Academy in 2014 and served 7 years as a Surface Warfare Officer. Kelsey served in a range of Naval assignments, including as the Damage Control Officer onboard the USS Carney (DDG 64) conducting forward deployed operations in the Mediterranean and Black Seas, and most recently as the Operations Officer at the Naval Academy Preparatory School.
IPVM research and reporting frequently impacts US and other governments around the world. Kelsey will help IPVM’s research reach more people in the government by providing a direct point of contact for answering questions, accessing IPVM research, and understanding industry issues.
While Kelsey is new to the security industry, her background working in government will help IPVM expand relationships throughout the government and make IPVM more accessible because of her common background and purpose-oriented focus.
If you work for, or with, governments (both US and beyond), please reach out to introduce yourself to Kelsey: Kelsey@IPVM.com
UPDATE [12/2/2021]
Kelsey has made the difficult decision to leave IPVM. Having recently separated from US Navy active duty, she has recognized her interests are better aligned towards pursuing further education and supporting her family as an active-duty spouse.
We are very fortunate she joined IPVM and grateful for her contributions to several projects, including leading the ‘not made in China’ directories (soon to be released) and evaluating FCC rules and regulations.
We thank her for her work and wish her the best for her future.
