Looking For A Web Based Camera Viewing Platform

- Currently using Victor VMS but too many operators in field have older computers and CPU unable to handle viewing video. Have seen other platforms use a web based integration to view via chrome/IE/firefox that think could help solve problem but not too impressed with AD's. Any ideas or thoughts on other platforms?

- This is in a retail environment where usually need to see 12+ cameras at a time to stream back video we are recording the cameras at under 1080p to allow easier playback.

IPConfigure has a Web Based Client only, with full functionality. Its worth a good look.

Just a note - even if it's a browser-based viewing client, the computer still has to decode and render that video. It may not help your problem as much as you hope. Transcoding or otherwise sending a dramatically lower-resolution stream (think 640x400 at most, or maybe 480x300), maybe even as JPEG if the CPU in the viewing machine is that weak.

IPConfigure

IPConfigure Orchid Fusion VMS is a full-featured VMS that is 100% browser-based.  We'd be happy to provide a 90 day trial license for your evaluation.

Be sure to consider doing the viewing with MJPEG streams if the network can handle the video traffic load.   It will minimize the CPU load quite a bit, but as I mention, the network load will be higher.

Also, several VMS have a 'mobile' server function that will transcode a set of streams into a payload that is much lighter on the end users device (think phone, tablet, laptop).

IPConfigure

Orchid VMS supports both native H.264 inside Chrome using WebRTC and also supports real-time transcoding to JPEG.
