This should cause heartburn for those who implicitly trusted that a firewall will keep your (insecure) devices protected.

Because it is not a video surveillance product. For example, Geovision is a video surveillance product, has an unprecedented bad set of vulnerabilities and is a front page article on IPVM.

I am not opposed to covering it more. The last week has been an avalanche of industry news so we've been just trying to stay up with all the deals and things.

I've asked John S to examine how broadly this impacts Cisco firewalls and potential impact for videos surveillance users.

I can appreciate all of the efforts in covering all of the angles of all of the stories this week. This one being a 10.0 and impacts all ASA models is pretty huge. And if I read it correctly, Cisco seemed to drag their feet with a fix.
