Over the past year, I've had 3 commercial installs using Milestone where the customer has asked why the mobile app is difficult to use when reviewing recorded footage. In all 3 cases, they pointed out comparisons to consumer-grade products such as Nest / Ring that offer an easy to browse thumbnail / "clip" view of activity. In the case of Milestone, the best I can offer is either a text-based list of events or a method of using the >> key to step through sequences / motion events. Sequence explorer on the PC client is much better.
In one case, the customer was concerned enough about this that I migrated their system over to Synology which supports a thumbnail-based review (although it lacks in some other areas). In the other 2 cases, I discussed this with the customer ahead of time and they ultimately agreed to go with Milestone and use a PC for footage review.
