Visualint - Anyone Know About Them?

I recently received a quote that was using a bunch of this companies stuff. Search results pulled up nothing on this site and I was rather surprised. I assume they are a newcomer...

Here is their website.

Anyone come across them before? I am trying to decide between this and another setup for half the cost using Avigilon gear.

Although it sounds like they stole their name from VideoIQ, their cameras appear to be Tiandy rebrands.

They claim to have written drivers for home automation systems, maybe they have. Maybe you need that.

But otherwise maybe you can save a buck by dealing more directly with Tiandy.

Jonathan, I had never heard of Visualint before but from reviewing their website, they are almost certainly OEMing their products from others. I am not sure who though.

That said, given that Avigilon is half the price and has strong video analytics quality reputation, I would go with Avigilon based on the information presented.

Visualint cameras appear to be from Tiandy.

But seeing that the underlying cameras are relatively inexpensive Tiandy models, I thought maybe Jonathan had left the word "of" out of his sentence, right before "using".

Either that or Visualint is way gouging.

I spoke with Visualint, they acknowledged that they are using UDP cameras / VCA analytics (e.g., Video Analytics: UDP VCA Vs Agent VI Vs Avigilon).

So if you really want CEDIA integration, this might be interesting but paying twice the price for VCA / UDP over Avigilon would not make a lot of sense to me.
