Video Intercoms With Mobile Apps?

A member emailed to ask:

Do you know of any reliable video intercom systems that have mobile application
so people can be notified on phone when someone is at door? Have you tested
any?

I’ve only been able to find a couple of solutions and both are appliances that are
used with mobotix or other IP intercom… seems like there would be more than
this???

I have no direct experience with 2N's products, but I noticed this product:

Key attributes:
  • Wide angle camera/lens
  • Day/Night
  • RTSP Streaming (Can write to many VMSes)
  • 2N Helios HiPhone App for iOS mobile phone support
  • US Street Pricing between ~$900 - ~$1200
Do any of you have experience with this, or another mobile app enable video intercom? Thanks!

No experience at the moment but we plan to use 3 of these in a project in the next 3 months. We will integrate with Crestron and with an ip PBX system. The other alternative is the Mobotix one which I think we are using in a project also.
