For a company whose product performs so inadequately (our test results), such arrogance is a bit odd. With a grand total of 4 cameras supported (no 3rd parties) and a VMS lacking numerous standards capabilities, this would not seem to be the best take.

On the other hand, they are certainly the fastest hiring company in video surveillance, overwhelmingly (and not surprisingly) salespeople as this excerpt from LinkedIn shows:

And Verkada's CEO evidently is either delusional or deceptive about what he thinks is the state of the video surveillance market:

Today if you wanted to deploy 50 cameras at five different sites of a business — 10 cameras per store at five stores — each of those sites will need a server. That server is likely running some flavor of Windows, and the customer probably has to be physically present to access video. They might even have to rewind and eyeball every frame of video to figure out what happened after an incident.

I'm trying to determine the meaning of this grammatical construction:

The fastest way to lose your job in IT... Using an NVR/DVR, Facts!!

If we assume that this is all supposed to be one sentence (with bizarre capitalization), then either he's addressing somebody named "Facts" or the comma is creating some sort of junction between "facts" and "NVR/DVR". So the most straightforward, grammatically-strict interpretation is:

The fastest way to lose your job in IT: using an NVR/DVR and/or facts!

But I would take it with a grain of salt. He's probably biased against facts because he's a salesman.

Hey U#3.  Great point about the grammar.  There is a hilarious book about grammar that you should read.  It is called "Eats, Shoots & Leaves".   Laugh out loud funny.

"He's probably biased against facts because he's a salesman."

Please don't lump all sales people in with this type of hype.  I'm a sales professional and, like many of my peers, would never generate such delusional nonsense.

The fastest way to lose your wife or significant other is to lock them up, tell them they cannot do this or that. Tell them they are not compatible with others. Tell them they are free to try but not to buy, and if they are sold your temp owner only pays until you are old.

Just curious as to the 1 "unhelpful" vote for each response??? Either a Verkada employee or someone without a sense of humor or both?

Oh boy.  Don't hurt yourself around here as there are lots of facts and info about CCTV and cameras.  You might learn something about CCTV :)
