Using Wireless With IP Cameras

Despite negative issues surrounding wireless, would you use wireless for monitoring purpose? How about for surveillance purpose? At indoor only? or how about outdoor too?
Positively wireless provide fast set up, but for indoor easy to bump into interference in urban areas. It's also faster than digging into trenches but also a horrible drop of bandwidth during bad weather and lightning storm.
So would you install a wireless or WIRED only? all of us are eager to learn and share too right?
