Is this the Uniview USA division?
If so, the site is off to a horrible start. The grammar is horrible and you can literally see the Chinese to English translation. Also, the products on the site are so limited compared to what is available.

Jay, I saw the same thing and I emailed Uniview yesterday about it. I had the same confusion / concern. I will report back with their feedback. Thanks for starting this.
Got an answer.
This is being run by ATV / Matrix. They are a partner of Uniview / UNV, so 'Uniview Tec' is not Uniview corporate.
It is confusing. On the about page, they do make clear "Uniview Technology is based in Coppell, Texas, a northwest suburb of Dallas, and is a Texas registered company with U.S. based operations". However, since Uniview is also a Chinese brand / company name, it makes one wonder whether this is directly Uniview China. It is not.
Hope that helps. Have not heard back from Uniview corporate yet but if or when I do, I'll try to add feedback from them as well.
Related, they are spending on US marketing. I was reminded about this discussion when I was flipping through SSI a moment before, full page ad:
Their website looks good now.
I spoke to one of the guys on the phone today.
They told me that they have US-based support.
They also told me that they have developers who will write firmware patches if uniview in China is slow to do so.

That's a fascinating claim. I've near heard a relabeller/distributo/OEM be actually able to write their own firmware patches.
I was getting pitched Uniview Tec recently and I called their tech support just to see if they answered, etc.
I had a live person that seemed to be US based within a couple minutes.
Uniview does this is other regions as well. In the past there was a location in Turkey. It's rather odd, there was an issue we tried to sort out with them as a vendor but Uniview denied any formal affiliation. I think they changed their name to reflect this.
We added Uniview Tech last year to our camera lineup and haven't looked back. Used their end to end solutions as we well using their cameras on a 3rd party on VMS like WAVE. Good on RMAs and will work with you on issues. And yes they are ATV
they show the ONVIF logo on their SSI ad from above.
does ONVIF list UniviewTec or ATV as having ONVIF conformant devices?
and have 54 conformant products:
They are signed off by David Fowler:
Fowler lists himself at Uniview Technology and not ATV on LinkedIn, but previously he definitely worked at ATV:
Btw, Uniview Technologies (i.e., PRC China) has 1,200+ ONVIF conformant products listed.
