Uniview Ban Concerns? Similar To Hikvision & Dahua?

We have been using Hikvision for approximately 5 years. The past year we have been switching to DW and Avigilon. We are very happy with Avigilon. I not excited about DW's cameras, but I do like their VMS and NVRs. Our company sold a lot of Hikvision because we had a great rep and the cost of product. Up until this past year we have done little to none with government sales. Our focus has always been small locally owned business. We have seen dramatic growth with our business and have had to transition to more higher end products. We purchase about $250,000 in hikvision a year. We have always been upfront with our customers about Hikvision and would offer other brands. Our customer would still choose Hikvision even knowing all the issues behind it. Our rep left Hikvision and all of the writings on the wall we will be leading with other brands. However I have no regrets selling Hikvision. They were good to us and brought us a lot of leads and business that other reps and manufactures did not.

I have been noticing a huge push for Uniview from competitors. I have no interests in selling because I think they will be in the same sinking ship as Dahua and Hikvision. I have had some requests from customers asking for Uniview because other company's were also quoting them. I am concerned that this will be another sinking ship and not wanting to attend double feature of the Titanic. I was also imformed that Uniview has chips that are banned. Is there truth behind this? Very curious to hear everyones thoughts.
