TVT Hack

Anyone with a solution / fix for TVT dvrs that have no picture, just a continuous beeping noise. This is not a Hard drive or power supply issue and I suspect they have been hacked ?.

What makes you suspect a hack? Has this occurred to a large number of units? Also, do the beeps have any pattern to them? Sometimes you can diagnose various errors from beep patterns (e.g.: long long short, or hi/low alternating, etc.).

Six dvrs in the last 10 days, all presenting with the same problem. Black blank screen, loud continuous ( not intermitttent ) pitch. Four of the recorders were original TVT and remaining two branded Triax, manafactured by TVT.

TVT has been vulnerable for some time.

Maybe a troubling new type of attack, the brick-hack?

Or a bot install gone wrong?

Keep your TVT or TVT OEM offline, I have just reported in some severe vulnerabilities... (U2, nope, not even close to Rothem stuff)
