Toughdog I-Frame Interval

Anyone know why on a ToughDog NVR they don't let you set the I-Frame interval to any number lower than the FPS?

If your FPS is set to 10... then the lowest you can set your I-Frame interval to is 10.

That means you will only get 1 new / full image every 1 second.

By default they want the I-Frame interval to be double the FPS.So an FPS of 10 and an Iframe interval of 20 means I will only get 1 new/full image every 2 seconds?

Am I missing something?

I am getting artifacts on movement and I think its because the iframe interval is not low enough... but the software does not let me lower it...
