Just saw a detailed demo of the Feenics cloud ACS ... very nice. In looking at the websites for others, like BluB0x, there are a host of references to "integration" with other components of security, such as video, visitor management, badging, intrusion, Active Directory, etc., etc. All extremely interesting and fresh, but where do the feature sets end and the vaporware begin?
I've got to believe that companies that start from the ground up with a Cloud security solution are going to have some advantages when it comes to designing their systems to address the networking and logical questions/concerns on the networking and logical security side as well as possibly having better and more powerful mobile tools.
How do these newer systems stack up against the likes of Brivo, Kantech (Hattrix), and some of the other more established Cloud solutions? The fact that Feenics and BluB0x are using Mercury hardware --- this appears to be an advantage at first glance (versus proprietary hardware like Brivo) ... agree/disagree???
