Hi guys!

Have any of you ever installed a time and attendance solution for your customers?

What did you use?

Were you satisfied?

Was there anything you would have done differently?

Kronos.

Be careful of mixing time and attendance with access control other than credentials for use.

It was long ago, but depending on where you are there are specific rules the employer must follow regarding hourly employees.

Hey U#1,

Answering your questions below :

Have any of you ever installed a time and attendance solution for your customers?

We've done many time and attendance solutions ranging from 1 to 30 locations customer, not that big but we do it often.

What did you use?

We used Anviz biometrics, which is a chinese company with great equipment and devices that have great quality and price to it , www.anviz.com , they have an office in the US, usually we use EP 300 , OA 1000 Pro and VF 30 , depending on your client requirment.

Were you satisfied?

Was very much satisfied with their new software and item durability, we have many locations that have been going since 3 years ago and still working perfectly without any complain!

Was there anything you would have done differently?

This reading may help Time & Attendance Tutorial

In general, this is easy enough to accomplish, provided:

1) Time IN/OUT readers or stations are specifically identified

2) Facilities exclude those readers from anti-passback rules (two consecutive 'IN' reads on the same reader without hitting another reader first can lock out cards or throw errors)

3) Time Sync is maintained.  Not just once a week.  Sync every hour, or better use continuous sync with NTP or SNTP time.

4)  Make sure the reader or station includes a clock or some other visual time piece that verifies system time:

Schlage GT400 hand scanners and AMGTime software. works like a charm. Let me know if you use them because there is a referral fee and I am a greedy capitalist. :)

You have to use common sense and leave the time and attendance rule creations and such to someone who is an expert at that (or hire one).
