Came across this YouTube video. Sorry if it has already been mentioned here. But I thought it was a great breakdown of the patent scam industry that has arisen, from the point of view of one guy who is having to defend himself against an infringement claim. Patents have been one of the many hot topics discussed here on IPVM. But the video becomes especially relevant around 00:14:13.

Aug 12, 2016Thank you for posting that. Personally I think the problem is worse than what he is stating there.
I just wrote a big long rant, but decided to delete it and I'll post this instead. This video of Richard Stallman gives a detailed view of why software patents are so disastrous.
