One source said it has a frequency jammer that would disrupt the drone's operation. I don't have definitive details.

Does it work on their own drone?

A beam antenna, yagi, with a high enough power output, watts ?, to block the controlling signal or short the drones receiver.. ? I wonder how wide of a beam is directed since the scope implies it being highly directional, probably can be reproduced on a 2x4 for a lot less $$

I wonder if the rifle accessories are real Magpul or knock off copies ?

I'm sure they're real knock-offs :)

This is common within the military. Especially now that there is documentation showing ISIS using drones with IED's. It utilizes radio waves to neutralize in-flight Drones and force them to land or hover or return to its point of origin. As soon as the trigger is pulled, it emits radio pulses that interrupt the communications system of the drone (both drone and GPS signal it sends out) and makes it think that it gone out of range, thereby preventing the drone from accepting any additional commands from its operator. The drone then enters into its safety protocols that force it to either hover in its position or slowly prepares to land, or return to its point of origin.

It also intercepts and disrupts Genetec software.

Seriously though, a very interesting product to combat a growing and real threat. I wonder if this level of R&D would have occurred without the Chinese government's financial support...

There's lot of anti-drone offerings popping up around the wold. Here is just one link from the top of google. I don't think this specifically needed massive R&D or funding.

Thanks for sharing that article. Very interesting tech.

Let us know when Arecont makes an anti-drone gun, so we can run for safety.

I'm a little confused on their train of thought here.

Why would they release the anti drone while at the same time debuting their own drone???

Supply and demand ;)

I don't know their reasons but it seems to make sense. The same type of high-end corporate and government buyer that might want to buy drones to monitor their facilities might want to buy anti-drone guns to stop adversaries from using drones against them.

Guess the drone gun market isn't doing so well.  Time for real rifle thermal scopes....

Hikvision yet again forgets the rules, this time a gun safety rule... I hope no one ever uses a mounted rifle scope to identify people.

I would be more than happy to be identified by a hunter as a person and not a deer with that scope.

I totally agree, just don't be pointin' the rifle at me at the same time!
