Is there anyone doing anything new with telephone entry? We are a DoorKing partner but the platform is so dated.

I have communities looking for products that have more features such as apps and cameras. Any suggestions?

I have several customers looking for new tech in this area as well. They want cell phone with and without apps and a view of a camera at the door or gate.

Hi, we have used Paxton and it's a very nice and sturdy product.

Elika has been advertising for a while now. If you are in the Multi-family market then you are probably already aware of them; if they do all they say they will do it will be pretty nice. But other than the 460 I don't believe they have anything else available yet.

Well there are some other brands out there but you might not be blown away with them, either. That whole sector is running a little behind, but here are a few others that I know of:

Pach and Company www.pach-co.com

Kanetech has 1 unit, the KTES  www.kantech.com

Mircom is another brand: www.mircom.com

And of course there's Viking: www.vikingelectronics.com

I imagine there are some others, as well.

I thought Aiphone was the leader in this area?  I know AXIS has a new product line as well.  Everyone and their brother seems to be coming out with something like this.

I don't think Aiphone does Apartment Entry. Their products are more for point to point and multi-point (a small number of locations) to point or multi-point but not from one point to a large number of points, and via telephone (or IP). Apartment Entry is a specific sub-type of intercom system.

Ahhhh got it!  I missed that and was picturing what we use them for not even thinking of that usage.  Thanks!

Aiphone has a multi-tenant video door entry system, it's called GT Series. Unfortunately, the main unit has to be wired back to each unit.

I really like the new Mircom TX-Touch, equipped with a 22inch touch screen and VoIP.

New apartment construction is going on like crazy in the Seattle market right now and I am seeing a lot of new installations of the Butterfly MX at the higher-end buildings.

The Butterfly MX works in conjunction with smartphone app that allows you to see a video camera at the door.

You should Check out 2N.

Some pretty cool feature sets.

You should Check out 2N.

I've been installing 2N for a while now, their door stations are pretty solid but I wouldn't use their indoor master stations, we've been pairing them with Grandstream GXV3275 desktop phones for peer to peer communication, 2N works best when integrated with a VOIP phone system.  They have mobile apps as well, just understand you have to know SIP and have IP skills, it is not plug and play like Aiphone or Viking.

In San Francisco, we have also seen an explosion in multifamily.  The developers, who are trying to attract millennial tech workers, are not impressed with the old standbys like Doorking.  they want sleek designs, touch screens, and integration to the tenant's smartphone for video.  Doorking and Viking are missing this marketing opportunity, as new vendors make inroads to their market.

We are specifying: Comelit, http://pro.comelitgroup.com/us, ButterflyMX, https://butterflymx.com/, and Paxton, https://www.paxton-access.com/home.asp. We also have used Mircom TX-Touch, however, as of about 12 months ago, they did not have a unit rated for exterior applications.

I've done some 2N systems.  Nice interface, but residents hated the buttons.  I was checking out the Algo 8036 but have not installed one yet.

We have a sleek panel loaded with features and we can also add video to any brand tele-entry.

We also offer a nice RMR opportunity for our dealers.
