I am curious what other integrator's are using for this application. Some of you reading this may be in Texas and are getting to take advantage of this forced situation. Others may be not. Please comment the types of cameras and mics you are using in these classroom and restroom audio applications.

[IPVM Note:

Description: SB 507 requires districts to install audio/video monitoring equipment in any self-contained classroom in which special education services are being provided to at least 50 percent of the students for at least 50 percent of the school day. The requirement is triggered in the event that a parent, school board member, or staff member on the campus requests that audio/video monitoring equipment be installed. The bill also requires school districts to store the audio and video recordings for not less than six months and to release the footage to persons specified by the bill. Additionally, the bill specifies that districts may accept donations and grant money to fund the purchase of equipment and that the commissioner of education shall provide a grant program in the event that excess Foundation School Program funds are available from the state.

Existing conditions and equipment or is this a general question?
Are you interested in a topdown view? Maybe a fisheye?

A Dahua solution could include an EBW81200 or the upcoming EBW81230 if you want H.265.

It would certainly cover bullying between students (yes, special needs students will suffer from bullying from each other) in addition to potential teacher abuses.

Thank you Robert. This will be for new deployments. My object is discover what others are installing then compare our solution to that as a measuring stick.
