#1, thanks for sharing. I made this its own discussion since the previous one is long and this is a good point to consider.
Think of this as a buffet vs an a la carte restaurant. Buffets are good because you can eat anything and as much as you want. Buffets are bad because food quality is typically inferior or the buffet price is extremely expensive.
We aim to be like an a la carte restaurant where we are incentivized and rewarded for publishing high-quality reporting.
While we offer an all-you-can-eat price still, $2,000 per user, that's a high price for smaller businesses, so we added limited access options which have much lower pricing but also much more restricted access.
I do believe (beyond IPVM, information generally) that the model for high-quality niche reporting and research will move in the direction we are heading because a low-price, buffet-style model encourages providers to deliver reduced quality work.
Our per-reporting price is effectively ~$30, so our thinking is that even for small businesses if you are really considering using, partnering, or competing against a certain company/product, that's very little money compared to how much you can make from what our research delivers. Some reports you read may have no impact on you, but taking in groups of 10 (our starting point), we are pretty confident that working professionals will get more than ~$300 in value for every 10 Research Reports consumed.
Happy to discuss/debate this etc.
