I really enjoy trap and 5 stand but mostly I feel odd about being around people I don't know and trust with guns. I've had shots fired past my head and it's enough to keep me away from courses on busy days.

That being said, the industry likes firearms, so yeah, probably a good marketing idea.

IMO it's a good event for marketing purposes. A day at the range, indoors or out, can easily be $100-$250+. For people that like to shoot this could be way more attractive than a steak dinner.
