Should Dahua Disclose That Their 'Sale' Items Are Being Discontinued?

In one of the strangest practices we have seen a major manufacturer do, Dahua continues to promote a sale on their products, first on their website and now in social media, e.g.:

As we reported weeks ago, Dahua is Discontinuing these H.264 Only Products.

Despite this, Dahua has never publicly acknowledged this through their official channels (though they have not disputed our report).

10% is certainly a sale but discontinued items are generally less valuable to customers since better replacements are coming out and discontinued items can be harder to support / service / replace.

So vote:

EOL closeouts should always be disclosed. It is shady to dump old stock in this manner.

Why hold Dahua to a standard that doesn't exist. It's common to discount items that are being discontinued.

Remember, if there's Chinese or Martian, they still deserve an even break.
