This report provides a lot of color to the Canon Vs. Motorolla debate. I am curious about integrators' perspectives on the future of these two product lines. Which would you choose if you needed to consolidate your video services to one of these companies and their subsidiaries?
Based on this and other reports, it seems as though Motorolla is far ahead in analytics and cloud services. For example, I have had many leads mention appearance search when asked what features of a video surveillance system were most important. Yet Canon's offerings may provide more flexibility in hardware choice, with Milestone and Briefcam having vast integrations with other technology.
