Screw, Torx, Etc Driver For Cameras

What are techs using for the small Torx and Allen key bolts on camera domes etc?

I have a couple kits that I use on the tech bench and personal use. The kits have a small driver with various bits and they work real nice.... if you can manage not to lose the bits.

I see my techs using the tools that come with the cameras, Dahua primarily. It drives me bonkers as I think it is so slow to use those tools. The last batch of cameras I staged in the office for them, I threw away all the allen keys.

I see how they could keep loosing the bits. I was in the field at one point so I know when you drop that bit at 15' up a ladder, that bit is gone. Any suggestion? Or am I being anal?

I bought this brick of bits a few years back. It's generic, but I haven't had any issues with them breaking. I also like it because the 6" length lets you get into deep mounting holes which some domes use. I have recommended it to so many people.

In the office, we generally use a power screwdriver just to speed things up. I also personally have one of these Klein Switch Grips, as well, so you can pop any of those bits into it for a hand driver. It's come in pretty handy.

I bought this brick of bits a few years back.

I have the same one and have had some problems with the bits being over-hardened and breaking easy.  Might have just been a bad batch, and for the price I'm not complaining.

I love this brand.  It is very low cost for a hand tool.  I carry one with me and use it whenever I need a hand tool.  I have a t10 & t20 that I use daily.

I like that the top spins and it is deep and has a nice grip.

ECLIPSE Precision Screwdriver - T20 Security Torx

For standard screws, I use 8-in-1 Precision Slotted and Philips Screwdriver Set from Home depot.

I prefer their older version.  They have a similar one with torx, but not the security pin in the middle.

For what I do, I don't need heavy duty impact strength.  I have various bits that come from Panasonic and Hanwha cameras that I use when needed.

This is what I used as a tech, and it was fantastic:

Security Tamperproof Screwdriver – With Spanner Bit

They also make one with standard bits that was my go-to screwdriver.
