We covered this in our now 100+ page ISC West show report, so I am extracting here / below to make it easier to find.
While a few years ago, the limbless R2D2-style Knightscope robot drew crowds (Knightscope did not attend), now the exhibits and crowds gathered around quadruped units (Boston Dynamics and Unitree) or one with arms and hands (ADT). ALL of them were being operated by humans, so whether these are truly robots is debatable. Moreover, how much value any of these would have in practice, running autonomously is a big question (i.e., it's a lot easier to have a human run stunts at a show than an autonomous security robot in the field).
