We are looking to protect the weapons of our Government. We would like to have access in real time who has a weapon and where. Any RFID companies? Anyone done a similar project?

Apr 23, 2018RFID is typically a passive, short range type of credential medium. Even 'long range' solutions have ranges in hundreds of feet, not miles or Km, and 'real time' is typically when the credential falls in range of a reader the first time, not as it moves within range.
I think this type of solution would require active power (batteries) and use GPS or something other than RFID.
