Anyone have suggestions for a video system for recording police interrogations? (video and audio)
We have used a stand along nvr and mic... but want to offer the client something a little easier to use and more stable.

This is John Kesterson from VayTek. We have an interview room system we manufacture and sell. Works with both analog and IP. Not sure how to use this discussion board to get more information to you.
John, I added a link to your webpage to your company name above. Can you elaborate on what you offer and why it's better than just a regular recorder, etc.?
Also, I would recommend you update your website. It says copyright 2012 and it looks like it is 5 years old or more, which is not a good first impression when considering what type of technology to buy.
I found this one.
Anyone ever use it?

I've worked on projects where CaseCracker from Cardinal Peak was used. FYI, I am a MR but I do not rep them. I just see customers pleased with their products.

Google "interview room system" A few options will show up. Customer's budget will determine typically. Systems range $1k-10k
We have done a lot of interview rooms here in the midwest with Avigilon VMS with Avigilon 2mp h3 outdoor dome and louroe mic with illuminated switch that powers the mic and triggers the vms to record continuous. Any questions send me a direct message -- most of the systems that were built and marketed specifically to this vertical are overpriced garbage - low rez ip or even analog cameras and awful in camera microphones -- do your research and pilot test if you can
We are using Avigilon VMS to capture our interview room (and a couple of other areas in our police department). We are using Louroe mics as well.
The one bit of advice I can offer on mic placement: do not place mics near, or in the path of moving air from, an HVAC duct or return.
