A new IndigoVision appliance claims, "Record up to 700 cameras per NVR with 2000 Mbps data throughput, seven times more than the nearest alternative."
How many maximum cameras a recorder can support is a question that comes up from time to time, with a typical max being 100 or perhaps 200.
But 700 is fairly incredible ... claim.
The appliance's specification sheet does give some tech details, such as:
- 2000 Mbps in;1600 Mbps out; 3600 Mbps
total - Storage: Direct attached, Dual redundant 6Gbps SAS
- Drives: 3.5in Nearline SAS
- Intel Xeon E5, 12GB RAM
