While I am the boss, so I generally dont run major runs myself, I a lot of times find myself at a job site and need to quickly troubleshoot an issue.

Recently my bag that I keep in my personal car went missing so I need to rebuild it. What do you say is necessary for me to have so that I can troubleshoot most issues with what I have on hand. My list so far includes:

  • Multimeter
  • Linesman Pliers
  • Stripping tool
  • 12V lightweight drill
  • Assortment of bits
  • Regular screw driver (with multiple bits)
  • Mini screw driver
  • B Connectors
  • Small assortment of Electrical Nuts
  • Electrical tape
  • Small assortment of patch cables
  • Fluke Linkrunner AT 2000
  • A bag of 22/4 cable (<250ft)

If I am going to a troubleshoot a particular issue I may take an item needed, but I am looking for what is good to have with me at all times.

Thank you

I found these two driver sets to be extremely useful and help reduce the number of tools to you need to carry.
