Looking For 2MP+ With 60fps

Hi

I have attempted to use the Camera Finder but it does not provide a list of cameras although it states that 160 meet my requirements.

My requirements:

  • Requires minimum resolution of 2MP
  • Requires maximum resolution of Quad HD
  • Requires 60 fps or greater
  • Requires H.264 or H.265 CODEC Support
  • Would like IP

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Kerry

Yes, there seems to be a problem when 1080p results are included with 60fps.

However you can use this work around to get them:

Do the same search, but using only 30fps as a minimum.

Then using the fps sorting arrow, make the 60 fps come to the top, like so:

#1, thanks.

Btw, we found a bug that is impacting at least some searches and are working on a fix right now (it has to do with displaying records of camera's outdoor / IP rating which we are fixing now). I will update when the fix is in production.

Kerry, thanks, this should be fixed. See results for 2MP to 4MP, 60fps or greater+

Interesting and important to note, there are no 4MP cameras with 60fps listed and only 3 3MP ones with 60fps. While there might be a few cameras we don't have listed in the Finder that meet the 3MP / 4MP with 60fps, generally, such resolution / frame rate combos are quite rare (in 2017).

Thank you very much John.  That is very helpful.

I have another question for you = which NVR's would work with 8 of these 1920 x 1080 cameras running at 60 fps each - simultaneously ?

Any way to sync all of them easily - so we can time stamp each frame from all 8 cameras ?

Thank you,

Kerry

Kerry question. I have no idea.

We have done a test of 30 vs 60 FPS that covers image quality tradeoffs.

But we have not tested VMS performance.

The two issues that I think would apply are:

  • Bandwidth: 60fps on average takes about 50% more bandwidth than 30fps everything else being equal. So if the bandwidth increased beyond what the recorder or client can handle, that could be an issue.
  • Playback: The client will need to be able to keep up with the full 60fps and not drop frames. Theoretically, it should not be a problem but since its so uncommon to record at 60fps, I would not be surprised if some VMS or NVRs dropped frames.
