Problem Activating Hikvision Cameras Across A Ubiquiti Bridge

I am running into an interesting problem while using an Ubiquiti bridge.

My main unit is a Rocket M5, with three remote Nanostation M5's.

The links go up and when I run SADP it finds all the devices. However, when I try to activate them it times out. However on when M5 it did work.

They are all running the same firmware 6.06.

The local network is 10.1.10.X and by default the cameras are on 192.168.1.X but usually on a local network it doesnt make a difference. Any suggestions?

Thank you

SADP uses, among other things, layer 2 broadcasts to discover cameras on the LAN.

Wireless networks are generally configured by default NOT to transmit most broadcast frames, therefore SADP cannot see devices not on the same IP subdomain.

If you really need layer 2 broadcast capabilities, Ubiquiti allows you to set up their routers in Bridge mode.

2 thoughts:

1. enable WDS on the wireless setting, might help.

2. just log directly into the cameras ip address and activate it there.
