I had seen in Netgear & Dlink router, we have two things port forwarding/triggering .

Whats the difference between them? Configuring the ports for port forwarding is enough for us or ports must be configured in port triggering also? Any article regarding this topic ??

You probably don't want port triggering. Triggering is used when you want an request on an outbound port to automatically allow a response on a different inbound port or range of inbound ports (that the firewall would normally block). Used a lot for gaming.

Every consumer router calls the port forward function something different - yet they all perform essentially the same function.

To answer most port forwarding questions regarding configuration for each type of consumer router, you can check portforward.com

Click on the 'List of All Routers' in the top left, then find your manufacturer (D-Link and/or Netgear).

From here you need to identify your model of router. Once you do this, then you have to choose the program that you want to forward ports to (for instance, Dahua, Geovision, Honeywell, IC Realtime and other DVR programs are listed [try Control F and putting in your program to see if it is listed - if not, use a similar DVR choice and figure out what may be different on your own]). :)

The site linked above will walk you right through the steps required for each type of router - and if you are lucky - the program you are trying to set up to be seen remotely via port forwarding.
