Port Digger "Guaranteed" To Pass Through Firewalls? Anyone Ever Used This?

A friend of mine who has a small integration business asked me about the "Port Digger", which appears to essentially be a P2P cloud "router" for lack of a better term, which maps your connected device to a subdomain (XXXX.openport.us) so it can be accessed without port forwarding.

It struck me as clever, while also risky and likely the bane of IT departments' existence, considering all these guarantees.

So, anyone used it or something like it? Would you use it? Why/Why Not?
