John, as you can see, even Genetec now is not a VMS manufacturer but a "facial recognition tech company".

As I wrote in my posts here, it is inevitable. Facial recognition is becoming a part of video surveillance.

As you can surely tell from watching the video, the face recognition is from NEC, being shown / integrated into Genetec.

Facial recognition has been part of video surveillance for a decade or more (think 3VR, etc.). It is just a very limited and weak part of video surveillance.

You've created a misleading discussion to further your agenda. I've changed the title to make it factually accurate.

Video surveillance part of facial recognition market was less 1% previously and now it is the most promising segment.
