Pelco's new VP of China Sales was hired away from Axis.

The 6 year Axis veteran, Jimmy Li, joined Pelco.

Axis results in Asia have been weak, well basically always, but especially so in the last year.

Especially in China, I am not sure what any Western manufacturer can do to be significant. Axis does ~$800 million annual revenue globally, and ~$100 million from all of Asia.

If you just look at China, Axis annual revenue is in the low tens of millions. Contrast: Hikvision did $3 billion last year in China. So in a week, Hikvision does more revenue in China than Axis does in a year.

It could be a good get for Pelco but not sure how any Western manufacturer can be a sizeable force in China.
