I understand that P-Iris is available on the Fixed Lenses based cameras. Can someone explain to me if P-Iris lenses are applicable on PTZ Zoom Lenses? if not then why.

Hopefully you’ll find this Axis PTZ P-Iris camera informative.

I am not impressed with indoor model. This looks like an indoor version.

Is there a PTZ outdoor model with P iris?

I am not impressed with indoor model.

Sorry ‘bout that. It’s also mostly ‘white’, is that ok?

Here are 10+ P-Iris PTZs listed in the Camera Finder.

I spot checked the Mobotix (see datasheet) and it does list P-Iris support

I asked Axis if they have any outdoor P-Iris PTZs. I am curious why or why not they would support P-Iris for different PTZs.

Samuel, btw, why are you interested in P-Iris? I ask because it does not come up that often as a request.

We asked Axis about P-Iris lens support in their PTZs. They say that all P and Q PTZs they offer today use P-Iris lenses, though they are simply marked as auto-iris in their spec sheets:

They felt that P-Iris was a relatively minor feature in PTZ cameras, given how many features they have to highlight on specs and marketing, so P-Iris was simply omitted.
