Since we are getting into alarms, we wanted to add alarms/video monitoring coverage and we went to a new agent. Our existing agent is horrible.
Anyway, the quote requires our selected monitoring station to list us as additional insured on their policy.
The monitoring station we chose will not do this.
Is this common?
I am not sure if this is common for intrusion, but it is not uncommon for fire alarms.
Does the new company remove this requirement for higher premiums or higher coverage policies, or is it a general requirement?

There was no option and I saw the letter from underwriting.
