I'm hoping someone may have ran into this before and has an elegant solution, because I'm having trouble getting traction on it. I'd like to use Milestone (or Exacq) on this application, and the short of it is we'd like to generate a simple OCR/text metadata entry with one camera, and be able to search other cameras for that entry.
For example, if you have large packages that are labeled with container numbers, or maybe a forklift in a warehouse with a tag "FORK 1", "FORK 2", affixed in text large enough to read from specific cameras. I'd like to be able to search the VMS for "FORK 2" and find video footage of that lift being moved around the warehouse, say if someone got injured etc. and be able to quickly find it.
