Had a nasty bout with some new malware called "Youtube Accelerator". I know it's off topic, but be aware. It attaches to a lot of files, but predominantly IE. I finally left customers business at 7pm, but still had to bring the server/tower back to the shop...

Jul 22, 2015I almost always take an infected machine offsite for malware removal. It is likely to take most of a day just running scans and I can do other things while that is continuing. I rarely find it to be something that can be completed in under one hour. Unless there are reasons to think it will take less than one hour, or the customer is a long drive away, I would rather work in my own work area.
